Para Athletics

We went to the Paralympic track and field events. It was so much fun, there was so much energy and excitement in the arena (Stade de France). We sat close to the high jump and watched USA take gold with arm impairments. It was also really fun to watch the wheelchair races, see records made in javelin, discus, and shot put. Watching the blind French 400m runner take silver was a highlight. And watching Utahan Hunter Woodhall with two prosthetic legs race the 100m. The crowd loved cheering for France! When we waved our American flags with athletes from the US, a guy behind us would cheer “go states!”
