Landmannalaugar

Today we went hiking at Landmannalaugar in the highlands. We had a take a rough dirt road to get to this remote location, but it was so worth it. It was so beautiful. It is in a lava field from an eruption in 1477. We hiked to the top of Bláhnjúkur (blue mountain). The area was so colorful and unique. Like everywhere else, pictures don’t do it justice. We loved this hike and the kids rocked it! Definitely the youngest ones out there. But we drastically messed up the lunch situation and were all starving!
