Ridomo Gorge (Φαράγγι Ριντόμου)

Today we did the Ridomo Gorge hike (8.72 miles/14 km). It is the longest gorge in the region at the base of Mount Taygetos. The hike involved a lot of scrambling and climbing over big boulders. Then we reached a narrow gorge. Up above you could see a stone arch crossing over. The kids crushed it, of course. This is probably one of Fran’s longest and fastest paced hikes yet (4:02 moving time/4:18 total time). It helped that we listened to our book, Percy Jackson and the Lighting Thief, most of the time.
