Mount Kosciuszko

Today we hiked up to the summit of Mount Kosciuszko. Mount Kosciuszko is the tallest peak in Australia at 2,228 metres (7,310 ft). Depending on definitions of continents, it is on some Seven Summit lists. We started our walk in Thredbo, a mini-mini Park City-ish ski town with summer mountain biking and activities (there were a ton of mountain bikers!!). We took the chairlift up about a third of the way, then hiked 13 km (8 miles) and 400 m (1.300 ft) elevation gain. The views were amazing! There were some nice nice alpine flowers as well. And a ton of ravens!!
