Eden

We stopped in the beautiful bay town of Eden. There we visited the killer whale museum. Whales frequent the bay here, especially in spring and fall as they migrate north from Antarctica. In the 1800’s whaling was popular in this bay. The whalers had a unique hunting situation with the Killer Whales where they would work together to hunt other whales such as the southern right whales, and humpback whales. The museum housed the skeleton of the well known ‘Old Thom’ killer whale.
